The past few months in no certain order!

We made a quick trip to see Marya and Ben and the boys and stopped to see Grandmere in NJ.

The pictures coming up were taken last weekend. We drove up to Acadia with Hannah to do some bike riding. It was a perfect day! This bridge crosses the Penobscot River up near Bucksport...as you can see the early morning fog was still burning off when we shot this picture.

The next two shots are taken from Cadillac Mountain in Acadia. You're looking at the Porcupine Islands off of Bar Harbor. It was so neat the way the fog just sat on top of the islands; almost like they were snow capped. You can see the trail of fog coming in from the east...it was like that most of the day; bright sun for us, but right off shore, the fog trying to roll in.

We were riding along the Carriage Paths in Acadia. They are very well maintained, wide, fine gravel paths through some beautiful parts of the park. I think there are nearly 50 miles of trails around the island. They were designed by one of the Rockefellers who wanted to be sure that he could get away from the noise and stench of automobiles! What a visionary!

This is Eagle Lake which we rode around. It was about a 15 mile loop with some really long hills to climb. There were some great spots to stop for a snack though.

This is one of the Gate Houses along the Carriage Trails....really neat architecture based on the rural style from the Sierre de Mont area of France. Someone seemed to be living in it currently...maybe park rangers.

Most of the ride we had the paths to ourselves, but occasionally we did run into some other bikers or walkers.

We've had an unbelievable spring in Maine this year; warm and mostly dry, so we are getting the garden in a good 3-4 weeks before we usually do. This shot shows the strawberries off to an excellent start.

We took Mother to the gravesite, and we did a little trimming of the Boxwood and planted some New Guinea Impatients which Dad always liked. Mother sat nearby overseeing the efforts and enjoyed herself under the flowering Dogwood tree.

Greg's first new bike in 40 years!

A really neat shot of some Tulips from my garden against the red, kitchen wall.

If I could have figured out how to, I would have deleted this shot of Ari....I somehow picked the blurriest pic in the bunch!
