Birthday and the Dirty South!

My birthday was at the end of March, and my friends and I went to a Pirates hockey game. 18 of my friends came out for the game so my friend Melody lent me her shirt that said "I'm kinda a big deal" It was an amazing night! I had so much fun. There were some great fights on the ice which everyone got WAY to excited about :)

Bryan and Joe. two of the guys from class...and my sweet shirt!

oh my gosh it's Firefighter Ryan

Chillin outside of OPT with my best friend Kim before we went dancing.

Our attempt at Tango...

Lee came up from MA to visit for the weekend, and he bought me the rose; then Joe broke it (again) Don't let that boy near flowers!

Three days after my birthday I left for my grand tour of the south. I visited a good friend from Maine, Erin, who's living in GA. We just hung out and caught up for the 24 hours I was in the state. Then it was off to Charleston for days and then up to VA to visit my sisters :)

It was so amazing to be outside! My friend, Stewart, and I went and spent the day wandering around an old Navy base that they converted into a public park and a Charleston war memoral. It was pretty interesting and very beautiful.
One of the Memorials. The flag that you probably don't recognize is for the town of North Charleston (yes, they have a flag for their town!!)

The Cooper River Bridge

The original reason for my trip to Charleston was for the Cooper River Bridge Run. It's a 10k that takes place every year. Some of the girls and I decided we would all get together down there and do the run. Well, we walked it! The run started at 8 am and went from Mt. Pleasant across the Cooper River Bridge into downtown Charleston. The whole bridge was shut down. We had to be downtown, ready to get on a bus to take us to the start line, by 6 am! Almost 40,000 people participated in the run this year!!

Freezing outside of Dunkin Donuts waiting for the run to start. They started everyone in different groups based on estimated finish times. The leaders of the run were 2 miles in before we even got to the start line!!!

We did it!!!

Having some drinks to celebrate finishing the race as well as my birthday!

More pics of....what else?!

Hello family! Caleb is napping so I thought I'd add a few quick pics. Hope all is well with everyone. Not too much new here. Caleb is crawling all over and pulling himself up on just about anything. He's also becoming quite animated and always has plenty to say... or yell. Here is a few recent pics of our little man. Enjoy!

Caleb getting pushed out of the spotlight by Harley...as always.
Caleb spent a good 10 to 15 minutes sitting by the garbage can talking to his new best friend. Too cute!

He's quite the climber now. Chairs, couch, out of the bath tub...you name it!

This is the teddy Grammy gave Caleb. He absolutely loves it. This is how we'll find him sleeping 95 percent of the time...giving that teddy a "Caleb bear hug."

Sporting the sunscreen mowhawk at the amusement park...he was pretty pooped right about this time.
