Ok, so I finally got a picture of my black eye to show you all. It was definitely one of those things that looked worse than it was.

This is Mikito, my roommate's dog. We were torturing him by making him wear a "playboy" jacket... pretty much he hates all of us in this picture...but he looks like such a little playa!!

My Birthday was a couple of weeks ago, and I went out in the Old Port with several of my friends from work. Some of the guys from class came out as well and we all partied and danced the night away!!! I had a BLAST!!! And there was NO drama, which I was very happy about. Well, except when Adam (from class) pretended to try and start a fight with me at Bill's Pizza so his brother (a bouncer there) could kick us out.

Me with the girls from work, Krissy, Vicky and Allie. We all finished off the night Dancing and we actually ran into some of our regulars who ended up hanging out with us for a bit.

Me with Vicky

Starting off at the White Hart with Kim and Abey. A guy I work with, Neil, was celebrating his birthday as well, so we were all trying to meet up- but that never happened.

My instructor, Alexey, on my right and a guy from class, Justin. A few weeks ago a lady we were all hanging out with thought these two were a couple!! So I had to get a picture with my "Gay" boys!! I hope this picture answers any lingering questions on why I l0ve class so much!!! j/k

Getting some lovin' from "some random guy" otherwise know as Colin, from work.

Overall I had an amazing Birthday, and I wasn't even hungover the next day!!

In other exciting news I got my blue belt in BJJ!!! Which is very exciting, though slightly nerve racking. In Jiu-Jitsu it's not uncommon to spend well over a year at each belt because there are only 5 belts, and it is such a technical sport. Also, you do not test for your belts. Your instructor just decides when you are ready and then gives you your belt.

So, I didn't know the day I was getting my belt, but several people in the class did, so they gave me a "Welcome to blue belt roll" ( not fun!!!) Another thing that we do just for fun whenever someone gets promoted is they have to roll with every single person in the class for at least 30 seconds one right after another. You don't even get a chance to adjust your posistion from person to person: one slides on and the other slides off. I haven't had this thrilling experience yet but rumor has it that it's comming this week!!! I'm NOT excited about that at all!!
